So time for a bit of an update....

I've now finished the new dash wiring, including a new universal fuseboard and relay board....

I decided that it was a bit of a mess so got some loom tape and some harness clips to tidy things up and hold everything in place  ;)

I also got my ignition blank fitted, which means I don't have to worry about the steering lock as this holds it in the disengaged position  ;D

While I've been doing these bits n bobs Jason has been beavering away on my bottom end....ooer missus  :o

He started by sticking the block in the hot wash tank for a few hours and it came out looking like this......minus the masking tape of course!

Then on went the primer....

and then on went the topcoat....colour was Jason's choice....should standout quite well in the blue engine bay!  8)

While he was painting the block the crank also had a nice soak in some rust removal fluid to remove any surface rust from where it's been in storage....

Next up the ARP main stud conversion kit was installed....

....then in went the crank....

....the oil pump, oil pump drive, aux shaft and a 16v dizzy blank

Jason then got all the rings gapped and started to squeeze things in to their respective holes  :P

That's about all for now....I've managed to secure some space in a fellow racers workshop in a few weeks time, so hopefully things will start to move a pace then  ;D
