So, I finnaly got my gear issue sorted, took the car for an mot and it tried to kill the poor work experience lad by blowing the heTer matrix all over him while doing the emissions test.

On a brighter note it passed the mot with a clean sheet.

I've ordered a new matrix that will be here tomorrow, going to change it on Monday. I'm slowing getting the water out of the carpet, it all needs to come up as the sound deadening is soaked, it was 2" in water apparently!

Any tips on changing the matrix? I've found a few guides on club gti but was wondering if any of you fine fellas had any tips?
