General chat section
« on: October 19, 2013, 11:11:09 pm »
As the number of members has grown a lot recently I'm wondering if it's maybe time for a 'general chat' section where people can blow off some steam about non car related stuff?  I'm not talking naked women, drugs, sex and rock n roll........sorry Jase ;)  ;D

Good idea, nothing like having a place for a bit of banter.

It's an option guys....if you can self police it and use it to spark ideas we can expand into the relevant sections, or just chat cars/tech/insurance/films/where to buy stuff...etc...I'll ask my web man very nicely.

One thing I'll respectfully ask across the board is that any general chat re any other on-going's on other forums that's observed isn't brought into play here in the open...feel free to keep it private though, that's what PM's/email/txt's are for...it's still a free country here. Besides, we're better/bigger than that...that's why alot of you are here in the first place...lets show the VW & car community in general that forum's can be easy going, refreshing & informative, with good guy's & girl's helping one another with genuine enthusiasm & interest...fun & banter yes...handbags at dawn...no.

Apart from that this is a forum for you all to have a good time on and make it what you'd like to see...if it's a reasonable request I'll always do my best to make it happen...it may say JMR at the top but it's an open community...our community...enjoy. 8)

Nicely put Jason. I moved over here because this does seem to be a forum that is, as you say, easy going, refreshing and informative.  :)

I'm more than happy to keep it to just banter.

I've been a bit slack of late (easy!)...house move etc...but I'm back on the case to sharpen things up and start getting a few idea's you've all had into play...so keep em coming and I'll see whats possible.
