Went to Aintree yesterday - new personal best 50.75 secs.
Especially gratifying since I did not compete last year, have been trying to crack 51 secs for ages, and also the weather looked like it was going to rain at any point. Improved with every run through the day and went into the class lead with the last run, only to be pipped by last years overall champ Andy Larton in his very special 106.
Still, coming second when you beat your PB by almost 3 tenths is not so bad.
Car felt lovely - suspension work has gone well I think, and there is definitely another half second to be had now, maybe even a 49-something, which is something I never thought I would get to.
Marvellous.
New front brakes have changed the brake bias a bit and locked the rears a couple times so need to look into reducing rear line pressure some more, as my bias valve is maxed out now. Suggestions if anyone has them please. Could shave down the rear pad area if push comes to shove.
Cheers
