Disappointing.
Rallycross went a similar way late 90's. Early to mid 90's we had massive grids (28 in the 1600 class alone !) then someone decided to try and copy Bernie (F1) and get rich. Entry fees went sky high, clubman retired.

Hope it all sorts itself out. The one thing you need is stability when it takes such a huge commitment to get a car onto the grid
