sparrow's 9A 16v turbo plots
« on: November 11, 2013, 02:25:32 pm »
From nearly 5 years ago, before I redesigned the front end on some armco at the Ring:

Max boost around 1.3 bar.

Been slowly rebuilding the car over the last couple of years, around two babies and a new business. Should be out again in the car next year.

Thanks.
As of today, I need to do the following:
  • Fit drive shafts.
  • Solder the broken horn wire.
  • Fit front strut brace.
  • Tidy engine bay wiring and fit scuttle cover
  • Fix fresh air blower. Suspect dodgy switch, but could be because I've butchered the loom
  • Fit old front brake pads
  • Order rear calipers, and fit.
  • Bleed brakes.
I'll pick up the rear calipers this week, and finish the list above over the Christmas holidays.

Nice to at some point list:
  • Sort fuel level gauge/sender.
  • Fit solid steering rack mount.
  • Swap rear beam
  • Order and fit front brake pads. Discs are nearly new.
  • Add eye for new 5 point harness on drivers side.
  • Sort out electric cut out switch wiring
  • Fix dent from where wheel fell on the car, as well as a few other nicks. I may have tried to fit the car in the garage with a door open.
  • Create new cover for fuel pumps/lines where they are in the car. I'm not a fan of having those exposed when I'm in the car.
  • Move oil cooler from in front of radiator. Coolant temp is too high, oil temp is fine. Fortunately I've found the original pipes from when it was behind the rad. Gives me some options.
  • Replace fuel fillers. The current ones are for fast fill jerry cans used in endurance racing. PITA at petrol stations.
  • Redo the in car fuel lines in teflon fuel hose. Should lessen the fuel smell, as they are supposedly better than the rubber hoses I have now. Plus I keep stabbing myself on mine as they're old and frayed.
