Twin dellorto abf
« on: December 15, 2013, 07:17:03 pm »
Hello,

I had my car tested a view weeks back, and this were the results!

Air fuel ratio was all over the place if i look at the graph.. And my max torgue was a bit to high i gues, for a couple of 283/279 cams.

Feedback to get the torque to a lower rpm would be great!

Engine spec:
Std block/head
Catcams 283/279
custom 4-1 exhaust
60mm tailpipe
twin 45 dhla dellortos.

You could advance the cam timing to make it less peaky

If the engine is only using a stock head/block/c.r then the cams are probably a tad wild for the rest of the spec

Ok, i will try that, thanks for the advice. I had the cams in another engine before. But early this year it was blown up :'( I need to start all over again. I will get the head ported this winter, maybe will get some other pistons with it.

I think it needs a bit more squeeze - either fancy pistons or deck the block and skim the head to get about 11.5:1, or as close as you can.

It looks like you rev milit is only 6700rpm and the BHP is still rising at this point, did you rev it past this, any graphs?

I would rev it past 7000rpm, the cams should keep making power at least up to 7500rpm.

I have the same opinion as you.
